Enhancing our Learning: Stockeld Park visit

To enhance our learning and curriculum, Hawking Class had an amazing time at Stockeld Park, we not only had fabulous weather but we had the whole park to ourselves like V.I.Ps!

Bruce our storyteller and host did a fantastic job guiding us around the enchanted forest, where we saw a range of story characters and creatures, before delivering our wonderful storytelling workshops. We learned all about mythical and magical creatures such a dragons and mermaids before having time to explore a wide collection of storytelling objects, props and unusual trinkets. We loved getting creative and coming up with our own story ideas!

After lunch we further explored items related to different storytelling themes and made some salt-dough faces on wizards and mermaids. Lastly, we had some time to explore and enjoy 'The Play Hive' which was a huge themed indoor play area full of wonderful things to have a go at, climb, slide down and just have some fun with our friends!
