Space and Rockets

This half term our topic is 'Out of this World'. We have focused on space and rockets in our first couple of weeks, and created an amazing spaceship role play in our classroom. After learning about and watching Neil Armstrong land on the moon, we decided to call our spaceship 'The Eagle'. We created a control panel so we could blast off and navigate around space!

We have also been very creative and made our own rockets from junk modelling and printing with 3D shapes. We got to try some real space food (vanilla ice cream) and further explore building rockets and spaceships in our outside provision, using our large blocks, crates and bits of technology.

Next week, we will be focusing on the planets and aliens. I can't wait to see what we get up to!
