Within our art unit we have focussed on printing. We began by discussing types of printing we have seen, done and heard of before such as; potato prints, printer machines and printing in art.
We then explored the artist Orla Kiely to look at her designs and repeating patterns. Our Year 4 children further looked at Japanese fish printing and were very impressed with the process.
From this we investigated how to create a print, used lino or polystyrene to make printing blocks and finally print a design.
