This year we have decided to add a splash of colour to our Sports day on Monday 18th June (morning only); as well as a little bit more competition!
Children are going to be asked to wear their normal shorts/trousers and trainers for sports day but they can also wear a coloured top, in the colour of their house team. Once you know what colour your child is in, please do not worry if you do not have a top in that particular colour. If you can bring a named, plain white t-shirt into school before the half term holiday, we will happily dye it the appropriate colour.
As you may have guessed, the staff at Sharow love getting dressed up and as we are all in different house teams as well, the competition is already on to be the ‘best dressed team!’ A sparkly, red tinsel wig was spotted recently in the staff room and Team Tulip (led by the fancy dress Queen… Miss Coventry) have top-secret outfit plans under way already!
The children must be safe to take part in all the normal events that we do on sports day, but the coloured t-shirts accompanied by: face paints, hair accessories/ bandanas, will really brighten up the whole morning.
