The government has now provided guidance that states that: remote education provided should be equivalent in length to the core teaching pupils would receive in school.  The amount of remote education provided should be, as a minimum:

• Key Stage 1: 3 hours a day on average across the cohort, with less for younger children

• Key Stage 2: 4 hours a day

We fully appreciate the challenge you are facing in supporting your children with their learning and know that you all experience different domestic hurdles too.  For some children a shorter amount of learning time will be an achievement.

The home learning that has taken place this week has been fantastic.  We have worked hard to develop the home learning offer, since the last school closure to provide learning following the school curriculum that builds sequentially.  To enable us to provide learning appropriate to your child, it is essential that their completed work is sent to their class teacher.

Class teachers have already been in touch with parents where there is less engagement to offer support but if you have any problems please raise this as soon as it occurs.  We are here to help.
