Christmas week

We have had a lovely Christmas time in school.

Class 1, 2 and 3 performed the Whoops a Daisy Angel nativity.

Class 4 placed food donations for the Ripon Food bank under the Christmas tree in Ripon Cathedral that had been collected in school and will be distributed to families in need.

We welcomed members of Ripon City Band. The musicians played Christmas carols in the playground around the Christmas tree, accompanied by some very enthusiastic signing from the children and parents who were able to join us.

Fiona and Beccy did a fantastic job of producing 100 traditional Christmas dinners served with all the trimmings. Father Christmas joined us remotely and he left each child a present under the tree in the playground.

Class 3 raised an incredible £80 for Lucie's Animal Rescue by creating and selling Christmas decorations and selling raffle tickets to win the Christmas tree.

We also joined a virtual federation Carol Service with our federated school, Skelton Newby Hall where readings were shared and carols sung together.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the support you have given and wish each and every one of you a happy and holy Christmas and best wishes for the new year.
