Plants

Over the past two weeks Class 3 have been learning all about plants in science.

We have explored what plants need to grow and stay healthy as well as the lifecycle of seeds and bulbs.

In order to observe the growth of seeds and bulbs we needed to do lots of planting.

We have planted sunflowers, nasturtium, petunias, lillies, pink phlox, broad beans and cress!

Next week we will investigate some of the vegetable seeds to see what conditions they need to grow and what time of year we should plant them.

Thank you for your donations of seeds, bulbs and compost. The children have had an amazing experience learning to plant these themselves.
