Over the past two weeks Y5/6 have been busy researching to learn all about King Charles III, the Coronation Service and the Commonwealth.
The Year 5s presented a whole school assembly about the Coronation and we all enjoyed an informative workshop at Ripon Cathedral this week. We looked at signs and symbols and designed our own symbols - representing ourselves and our British Values. We also took part in a role-play re-enacting the Coronation and discussing the Christian symbolism around the anointing oil, orb, scepters and royal vestments worn by King Charles III at his Coronation at West Minster Abbey.
