Last week our class went to Bishop Monkton to learn some quicksticks hockey skills and play mini games against Bishop Monkton school.
We loved learning from Debbie about the rules and techniques needed to be successful. We mastered use of a hockey still to push the ball rather than hit and started getting to grips with twisting the stick to dictate the balls movements.
Everyone particularly enjoyed the chance to have some competition with another local school. The sportsmanship, encouragement, friendship and resilience shown was amazing.
