Amazing Muscles

In science we learnt all about the skeleton and muscles in our bodies.

We discussed the jobs that different parts of the skeleton do e.g. skull protects the brain.
We then moved onto muscles and talked about how they are attached and help our body to move. We paid particular attention to the upper arm muscles and watched how the bicep contracts to pull your arm up whilst the tricep contracts to pull your arm down.

The children all made a scientific model which they used to explain their understanding of how muscles work.
